The Mothers' Union is a Christian organization with more than a million members worldwide.
The purpose of the organization is to be especially concerned with all that strengthens family life.
This is the common bond shared by all bodies of the Mothers' Union throughout the world.
THE PURPOSE of The Mothers' Union is to be specially concerned with all that strengthens and preserves marriage and Christian family life.
ITS AIM is the advancement of the Christian religion in the sphere of marriage and family life.

Joining the Mothers’ Union is easy. Membership is open to anyone who has been baptized in the name of the Holy Trinity and who supports the aims and objectives of the society.

Our FIVE OBJECTS are:
1. To uphold Christ's teaching on the nature of marriage and to promote its wider understanding.
2. To encourage parents to bring up their children in the faith and life of the Church.
3. To maintain a World Wide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service.
4. To promote conditions in society favorable to stable family life and the protection of children.
5. To help those whose family life has met with adversity.
The Mothers’ Union has over 1,000,000 members in more than 71 countries.
The vast majority of our members live in developing countries.
There are currently 272 Provincial and Diocesan Mothers’ Union Workers around the world and their number increases steadily year by year.
The Mothers’ Union has been doing work in: 84 prisons; 2 remand centers; 8 young offenders institutes; 48 hospitals;23 Mothers’ Union involvement in child contact centers
